I guess it’s very much like keeping a diary.
Only diaries don’t work for me. I started a number of them, but never made it past the first week. I just forget or get side-tracked, or can’t be bothered after a while.
Blogging is different. There are people waiting for the next one.
So every day, I reflect on what makes that day special, what makes it stand out. Then I write about it.

While I was trying to figure out why I hadn’t written a blog post for a while, and whether in fact I should bother writing one ever again, I came across this recording of a talk by Seth Godin, highly acclaimed writer and blogger:

I very much enjoyed listening to his talk, and it was exactly what I needed. It is energetic, funny, exciting and it confirms quite a few core beliefs of my own, such as the inadequacies of our educational system. Musings on the Bus to Bogota

Monday, March 22nd
I like travelling. It gives me a break from the routine. It tends to involve sitting still and doing nothing for long periods of time, while your gently changing surroundings provide distraction and entertainment. It is perfect for musings, and as the mountains and planes parade past my coach window on the way to Bogota, my mind goes to my concert on Sunday.
