A couple years ago a former BP machinist named Suel Jones fell in love with a 700-pound white marble Buddha statue carved by a roadside sculptor in the Marble Mountains outside Da Nang, Vietnam.

‘GILES plays Hendrix’
Has kind of a ring to it, don’t you think?
We could do a nice poster with an image of Hendrix worked into it. Nothing too tacky.
It wouldn’t be a cover band of course, more like ‘interpreters’. And let’s face it, nobody ever managed to top Hendrix when it comes to juicy guitar music.
I think we could pull it off too. All we need is a couple of days of rehearsal and we are good to go. Piet and Terry would come from the UK for a week if I asked them to. The sun would make a nice change for them.
It seems Valencia has quite a few good music venues. I will have to go and check them out.
Just think though, the three of us, back on the road. Just like old times.

Buying a used car in Spain is not as easy as in England, or as cheap. We had already spent days looking at cars. They had looked perfectly promising in the ad, but they were always disappointing in the flesh.
